Purpose The Love-Life Workshop Service is an online Service available to adult men and women with internet access. The primary purpose of the Love-Life Workshop Service is the provision of a broad range of thematic workshops and consultations, public and private chat-rooms, and bulletin boards that address the love-life concerns of our members. We help identify and define our members’ love-life issues while providing information, instruction, advice, guidance, and support for more effective love-life solutions in the context of an online membership community. Our workshop leaders and consultants are independently contracted New York State licensed Ph.D. Psychologists selected on the basis of academic credentials, professional training, and personal love-life experience. They were all specifically trained in our workshop methodology by the Love-Life Workshop administration.
Eligibility The Love-Life Workshop is exclusively for adult men and women who are 21 years old and older. You must be 21 or over to register as a member of Love-Life Workshops and use this Website. Membership in this Service is void where prohibited. By using this Website, you represent and warrant that you have the right, authority, and capacity to enter into this Agreement and to abide by all of the terms and conditions of this Agreement. This Service is not intended for children, adolescents, and young adults under the age of twenty-one, and they are prohibited from membership with or without parental consent.
Communicating in a Workshop or Consultation The Love-Life Workshop discourages the use of common forms of internet ‘chat-room’ communication involving acronyms, abbreviations, and emoticons in our workshops and consultations. Instead we encourage our members to ‘workshop talk,’ or more specifically, to utilize ‘long-hand’ modes of speech in workshops and consultations. We request that members type as though they were actually talking. This will allow emotional experience to emerge more visibly into what is being typed, bring participants more fully into the workshop or consultation dialogue, and help nonparticipating members who are observing workshops or consultations better understand what is happening. Workshop leaders and consultants instruct and guide participants as needed to remain in ‘workshop talk’ throughout their participation in any and all workshops and consultations.
Service The Love-Life Workshop is a Psycho-Educational Service. The Love-Life Workshop is not a form of psychotherapy, counseling, psychiatric, or medical treatment, or a mental health therapy of any kind, nor should a Love-Life Workshop be used as a substitute for psychotherapy or other appropriate and necessary medical or mental health treatments and services. If you are currently suffering from suicidal, homicidal, or psychotic symptoms, you should not participate in this Service. Individual psycho-educational consultations conducted at the Love-Life Workshop Website are individual applications of our Psycho-Educational Service available by request to Website members and workshop participants. The thematic public and private chat-rooms available at our Website are not group psychotherapy, group counseling, or group treatment of any kind, nor do they pretend to be. Their sole purpose is to provide ‘mutual support’ for our Website members who have a particular love-life theme, issue, or problem in common they wish to address in a chat-room format. The use of bulletin board services and/or e-mail correspondence at the Love-Life Workshop Website as a method of internet communication about love-life matters does not intend to be or portray itself to be nor should it be used as a substitute for, mental health therapy, counseling, or psychiatric treatment.
Focus The Love-Life Workshop is a Psycho-Educational Service with an exclusive focus on adult love-life issues. The Love-Life Workshop is not an adult oriented website for the purpose of fostering adult oriented sexual activities, sexual fantasies, or other related adult-oriented entertainment. The Love-Life Workshop is not a dating or introductory service for men and women seeking dating, meeting, and/or networking experiences. The Love-Life Workshop is not for the procurement of online cyber-sexual contact or as a prelude to offline sexual contact or relations.
Competence The Love-Life Workshop has taken great care in providing our members with the best New York State licensed psychologists available. Even though we have confirmed their credentials and experience to the best of our ability, we cannot be responsible for the quality and conduct of their workshop leadership or consultation as independent contractors of Psycho-Educational Services on our website. Beyond the professional ethics and standards that govern a Psychologist’s professional representation, the Love-Life Workshop cannot guarantee the validity of what workshop leaders and consultants say about themselves or what they post on our workshop leader profile pages. Our Love-Life Workshop Leaders are contracted to provide love-life advice, instruction, guidance, and support as workshop leaders and/or individual consultants. Our workshop leaders are not authorized to provide psychotherapy, counseling, or any other mental health services or treatment while functioning as workshop leaders or consultants at our Love-Life Workshop Website. The Love-Life Workshop is not responsible for any intentional or unintentional breach of this limited and specific responsibility while a workshop leader or consultant is conducting Love-Life Workshops, individual consultations, or any other activity at our website.
Outcome The Love-Life Workshop does not guarantee that your love-life, love relationships, or dating experiences, mental health, general health, or well-being will improve or be positively affected by taking part in this Service.
Responsibility The Love-Life Workshop Service is not responsible for any real or imagined damages that occur as a consequence of participation in our Service. The Love-Life Workshop is not responsible for any psychological distress or emotional upset purported to be caused by the online statements and/or interactions of any participant at our Website in any of our Website activities including but not limited to: workshops, private chat-rooms, public chat-rooms, bulletin boards, or e-mail correspondence. The Love-Life Workshop takes no responsibility for the mental state, attitudes, or personal opinions of any of its members, workshop leaders, or consultants.
Representation on Our Website We request and require that all members at our Love-Life Workshop Website accurately and truthfully represent their non-identifying personal information (e.g. age, gender, etc.) to maximize the effectiveness of our workshops and other activities at our website. The Love-Life Workshop will not be responsible for any experience of misrepresentation members experience at our Website. In no event shall statements made by any member, workshop leader, and/or love-life consultant in our Service be considered to be representative of the views of the Love-Life Workshop administration.
Code of Conduct You agree to use this Service in accordance with the following Code of Conduct:
- you will keep all information provided to you through this Service as private and confidential and will not give such information to anyone without the permission of the person who provided it to you;
- you will not harass, abuse or threaten another member; if you disagree with someone, respond to the subject, not the person;
- you will not use hate speech; hate speech is unacceptable, and Love-Life Workshop reserves the right to take appropriate action against any account using the service to post, transmit, promote, distribute or facilitate distribution of content intended to victimize, harass, degrade or intimidate an individual or group on the basis of age, disability, ethnicity, gender, race, religion or sexual orientation;
- you will not use this Service to infringe the privacy rights, property rights, or any other rights of any person;
- you will not post messages, pictures or recordings or use this Service in any way which;
- violates, plagiarizes or infringes upon the rights of any third party, including but not limited to any copyright or trade-mark law, privacy or other personal or proprietary rights, or
- is fraudulent or otherwise unlawful or violates any law; and;
- you will not use this Service to distribute, promote or otherwise publish any material containing any solicitation for funds, advertising or solicitation for goods or services;
- you will not use this Service to distribute or upload any virus, Trojan horses or do anything else that might cause harm to our Service, Love-Life Workshops, or to any of its members' in any way;
- you will not post or transmit in any manner any contact information including, but not limited to, email addresses, ‘instant messenger’ nicknames, telephone numbers, postal addresses, URLs, or full names through your publicly posted information.
Anonymity The Love-Life Workshop maintains confidentiality of your identity through total anonymity for members in all activities at our Love-Life Workshop Website. Only the administrators, workshop leaders, and individual consultants are identified at our Website. However, the Love-Life Workshop cannot be responsible for any unforeseen technical, accidental, or intentional breaches of this anonymity at our Website, or for any intentional or unintentional disclosures by members. The Love-Life Workshop requests and requires that all participants at our Website agree to remain anonymous at all times and not reveal any identifying information that would in any way reduce the anonymity of their participation. Beyond establishing the secure conditions that support and maintain anonymity, the Love-Life Workshop cannot be responsible for any intentional or unintentional breach of this agreement to remain anonymous while participating in any activity at our Website. As an anonymous participant at the Love-Life Workshop Website you consent to allow any undisclosed number of anonymous Website members to vicariously witness or observe from a remote location on our Website for educational purposes any Love-Life Workshop or Consultation that you may register for and participate in as a condition of participation in our Service. The Love-Life Workshop will not be held responsible for any distress or emotional upset or difficulty you may have being remotely witnessed by other anonymous website members.
Relationship to Other Services The Love-Life Workshop is a privately owned and operated online Psycho-Educational Service and has no relationship to or connection with any offline workshops, consultations or institutions or agencies bearing the same name or a similar name that conduct workshops or consultations on love-life issues or other topics related to or unrelated to love-life issues, themes, or problems.
Term This Agreement will remain in full force and effect while you use this Website and/or are a Member. You may terminate your membership at any time, for any reason. Love-Life Workshops may terminate your membership for any reason, at any time. If Love-Life Workshops terminates your membership in this Service because you have breached this Agreement, you will not be entitled to any refund of unused subscription fees. Even after membership is terminated, this Agreement will remain in effect.
Non Commercial Use by Members This Website is for the personal use of individual members only and may not be used in connection with any commercial endeavors. Organizations, companies, and/or businesses may not become members and should not use the Service or the Website for any purpose. Illegal and/or unauthorized uses of the Website, including collecting usernames and/or email addresses of members by electronic or other means for the purpose of sending unsolicited email and unauthorized framing of or linking to the Website will be investigated, and appropriate legal action will be taken, including without limitation, civil, criminal, and injunctive redress.
Proprietary Rights in Content on Love-Life Workshops Love-Life Workshops owns and retains all proprietary rights in this Website and our Service. This Website contains the copyrighted material, trademarks, and other proprietary information of Love-Life Workshops, and its licensors. Except for that information which is in the public domain or for which you have been given written permission, you may not copy, modify, publish, transmit, distribute, perform, display, or sell any such proprietary information.
Termination of Access to Service We may, in our sole discretion, terminate or suspend your access to all or part of this Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including, without limitation, breach of this Agreement. Warranties This Service is distributed on an ‘as is’ basis. We do not warrant that this Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. There may be delays, omissions, and interruptions in the availability of our Service. You acknowledge that any reliance upon any such opinion, member profile, advice, statement or information shall be at your sole risk. Your continued use of this Service now, or following the posting of notice of any changes in this Agreement, will constitute a binding acceptance by you of this Agreement, or any subsequent modifications.
Modifications We may modify this Agreement from time to time. Notification of changes in this Agreement will be posted on our Service or sent via electronic mail, as we may determine in our sole discretion. If you do not agree to any modifications, you should terminate your use of this Service. Your continued use of our Service now, or following the posting of notice of any changes in this Agreement, will constitute a binding acceptance by you of this Agreement, or any subsequent modifications.
Indemnify As a participant at the Love-Life Workshop Website you agree to indemnify the Love-Life Workshop, together with its agents, employees, affiliates, parent companies, representatives, officers, directors, shareholders and service providers and hold them harmless from any and all claims, fees, including but not limited to reasonable counsel fees, costs, judgments, damages and causes of action arising from or related to your participation in our Website Service.
